I never gave it freely
and I never held it out
But the heart you stole was mine
Of that I have no doubt
You took it without asking
Permission I never gave
But you took it so completely
and I've become a slave
You should go to jail
for the stealing of a heart
But you hold it oh so gently
And you have since the start
So take care of my beating heart
Because I haven't got another
Treat it as you would you own
Don't break or hurt or smoother
And I can promise you my love
I'd be faithful to the end
sharing every moment
by loving my best friend
So I give it to you freely
that gift you hold so tight
guard it with the love we have
don't give it up without a fight.
