Capricorns have a great sense of purpose and a great faith in their own ability. They have a dry wit and an incisive sense of humor. They also have a reputation of be somber, structured and gloomy. This is partly due to them being ruled by the cold and calculating planet, Saturn.
Male Capricorns attempt to achieve accuracy and consistency therefore giving people the impression that they are frugal. A perfect example of a Capricorn is Mr. Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol" but as we all know in the end Mr. Scrooge showed the wonderful giving side of his personality. I'm sure if the story continued; he would have been just as thrifty. Love affairs intrigue this male, though his interest is not merely confined to his own relationships, but also takes in the affairs of others. He finds it difficult to be himself around the opposite sex and attempts to project some kind of challenge which usually adds nothing to the situation. He is able to give much love but needs a female who can offer reassurance when life goes against him and can show him the funnier side of life. One who will understand and help him with his driving ambition. He is strong and disciplined as a father and usually his offspring are successful in their own right due to his structure in raising them.
The female Capricorn has much to give and does the best when she is married. Ambition plays an important part in her life and her eyes are ever on the search for advancement, whether it be for her husband or children. She is a natural matchmaker and wants to see everyone happily married and believes that it is truly possible. She needs lots of love and a cheerful environment otherwise she falls into a despondent state that can last for weeks. Her darker side can be manipulative and meddlesome.
